random thoughts

I just went back and read through my past almost 2 years of blogging. It's amazing how much I have changed over that period of time. I got married, we moved 5 times (that will be 6 times on the 20th of this month when we move into our first actual home), found out we were pregnant, had our first baby, and all the smaller stuff life threw our way. When I started the blog we had just gotten married and I had moved across the country to California. Then 9 months after that, my husband was honorably discharged from the marines and we moved home to Alabama. We weren't sure what was going to happen for a few months, when finally he got the call. We now live in Oklahoma and are in the process of buying our first home since we plan on being here a long time. While going through some old papers, I found a list hubs and I had made of places we would like to live according to the ones offered for the job he was aiming for. Oklahoma was the very last one we had on the list. Funny how things work out. I love Oklahoma now that we're here. I think it's a good place to raise our family.

I still miss my family though. James and I are flying home to see them in a few days. My family only got to be around him for a week after he was born then we came back to Oklahoma...so I'm really happy they will get some time with him. I am excited but nervous about flying with him. I have made multiple lists to make sure I'm prepared and don't forget anything. I made to-pack lists. One for him and one for me. Then I divided those lists into 2 parts. One for our suitcase and one for our bag on the plane (diaper bag). If anyone has advice on flying with a baby (he's a little over 2 months old) and what I should do with his carseat..(check it with luggage or at the gate) it would be very much appreciated.

Speaking of James, I am wrapped around his little finger already. I'll admit it. I'm so in love with him. He had his first set of shots about 2 weeks ago. Screamed until I picked him up, then he was fine. Made me feel good that I'm comforting to him. :) Look at my cutie.
